Nissan recently revealed its latest global compact vehicle, the new Nissan Note, at a world premiere in Yokohama. It follows on Nissan’s current Note which has achieved global success since its launch in 2005 with 940 000 units sold to date.
The new dynamic Nissan hatchback is said to achieve both class-leading fuel efficiency (rumored to be as low as 25.2km/L) and low emission levels due to a combination of a lightweight platform, improved aerodynamics and advanced engine technology.
One of the Note’s innovative features to look forward to is Nissan’s Around View Monitor (AVM) which assists drivers with reversing and parallel parking – a first for the compact market segment. The Note’s energetic exterior design features a striking character ‘Squash’ line, a distinctive front grille, sophisticated light fittings and an aerodynamic body shape. It also offers a spacious and modern interior with high quality finishes.
The Japanese domestic Note, is expected to be launched later this year while the European version will be unveiled early in 2013.
