On January 1st, Dongfeng Nissan kickstarted the new year by unveiling the 2024 Sylphy Classic sedan in Zhuhai, China. The iconic new model boasts exterior and interior refinements, expanded powertrain options, and new intelligent tech features.
Sleek New Exterior Styling
‘Sylphy’ in mythology refers to elemental beings that inhabit the air, depicted as ethereal or fairy-like creatures, associated with the air element. The idea of a sleek ethereal creature is a good description of the 2024 Sylphy Classic with its aerodynamic silhouette somewhat reminiscent of the Nissan Almera.
This majestic vehicle has newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels paired with a shark fin antenna up top and it comes in six exterior colours letting owners express personal flair.
The Premium Edition is upgraded with automatic opening and closing headlights, LED daytime running lights, and lens-type LED front low beams.
Upgraded Cabin Packed With Tech
Inside, the 2024 Sylphy Classic cabins balance simplicity and elegance. The premium model indulges passengers with heated front seats, ambient cabin lighting and a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen display powered by Nissan’s Connect 2.0 infotainment system with integrated apps and services. A multi-function LCD driver dashboard keeps key stats easily accessible.
The first two models come with a remote key as standard, while the premium version supports keyless entry and a one-button start function.
More Power Under the Hood
There are two powertrain configurations available. The base 1.6-litre petrol engine churns out 90kw and 155 Nm of torque while the e-Power hybrid system generates a max output of 100kw and 300 Nm of torque for an extra jolt of acceleration. Both mate to Nissan’s smooth Xtronic CVT transmission.
Enhanced Safety and Convenience
The 2024 Sylphy Classic also provides drivers peace of mind thanks to an array of active driving aids including lane keep assist, blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic signal.
