Nissan to produce a 100% electric e-NV200 van

100% Electric Nissan e-NV200

Nissan is ready to launch its second rechargeable green vehicle, the e-NV200!

Nissan first went fully electric with its zero-emissions hatchback, the LEAF in 2010. Now the automaker is ready to launch its second rechargeable green vehicle, the e-NV200.

The electric compact minivan that made its debut at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show as a concept car is set to go on sale mid-2013. The e-NV200 is the electric version of the Nissan NV200, which has already achieved international sales success and was chosen as New York City’s ‘Taxi of Tomorrow’. Besides offering similar range and performance figures to the LEAF, the e-NV200 will according to Nissan also have best in class running and maintenance costs. Coupled with its size, Nissan sees it as a suitable delivery vehicle for urban businesses and families who do a lot of commuting.

Nissan has already invested 100 million euros in a plant in Barcelona where the e-NV200 will be built. From there it will be distributed to various international markets.
