2017 Nissan Navara – First Impressions

The 2017 Nissan Navara

We’ve had the chance to put the newly redesigned 2017 Nissan Navara through its paces and we are more impressed than ever with what the Nissan engineers have been able to achieve. Specced to the hilt and built to provide what we think is the most comfortable off road experience we’ve ever had the privilege of enjoying, this is the bakkie that other South African automotive manufacturers will aspire to build. But why is this? Let’s take a look at what is underneath this beast of a bakkie’s skin…

Game Changing Suspension System

Nissan have replaced the Navara’s antiquated leaf spring rear suspension with something that is truly groundbreaking in this automotive segment, a multi-link setup with coil springs paired with a solid axle. This type of suspension setup is normally reserved for high end SUV’s, so the 2017 Nissan Navara is set to leave all of its competitors in its dust as their drivers head off into the sunset in what is going to be a game changing comfortable drive.

Super Specs

100% bakkie but the comfort levels of a SUV, this is what is in store for South African bakkie lovers! Although we have not yet had any official confirmation on what will come as standard in the new 2017 Navara, we can say (and this is purely conjecture on our part) that we think it will include:

  • A colour touchscreen infotainment system
  • Built in satnav
  • Leather seats
  • 360 degree surround (bird’s-eye view) camera

Built To Enjoy

So what’s not to love? The 2017 Nissan Navara is set to change the way people view bakkies, and will possibly be available within the first quarter of 2017 in South Africa. If you would like to find out more about the official launch of this amazing bakkie, then please keep an eye on this blog and make sure that you Pre-Book a Test Drive here to ensure you do not have to stand in line!
