2021 Nissan Qashqai Midnight

There’s a new kid on the block as the new Nissan Qashqai Midnight Edition shows off its ‘dark side’ with a more modern and stylish personality. While the Qashqai has been around for some time in countries across the world, the new Midnight Edition looks pretty special compared to the regular version.

Competing against the likes of the Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-30 and Mitsubishi ASX, this fresh-faced Nissan Qashqai Midnight Edition is a welcomed addition to the crossover segment. As far as next-gen automotive engineering, design and innovation go, the new version looks set to check all the boxes.

What Features Are On The Nissan Qashqai Midnight Edition?

The Nissan Qashqai Midnight Edition is loaded with dark-themed extras for an enhanced look from every angle. It’s not only the exterior and interior that will impress as the engine offers more than enough power while it comes with several Nissan Intelligent Mobility features. This includes Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection and Forward Collision Warning.

On the outside you’ll immediately notice a black grille, adaptive front LED headlights with darkened surrounds which flow beautifully into the black bumper blades topped off with stunning black 19-inch wheels. Then there are the black mirror caps, side mouldings, roof rails and darkened LED tail-lights that finish off the theme with a Midnight badge on the tailgate.

They kept the interior simple but stylish and modern with a few nice subtle touches. It has black air vents and gear knob, Alcantara seats and floor mats with red “Qashqai” stitching. The infotainment system allows the connection of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay plus onboard navigation.

Engine Specs And Safety Features

Under the bonnet, the Nissan Qashqai Midnight Edition gets a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine producing an impressive 85 kW and 165 Nm of torque. From there, all that power goes to the front wheels through a CVT transmission.

In terms of safety, the Nissan Qashqai Midnight Edition comes with a 360-degree surround-view camera system with reversing camera and airbags all around. It also has Forward Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning and Cross Traffic Alert to make sure you can safely navigate the urban jungle in confidence.

Final Thoughts On The Nissan Qashqai Midnight Edition

It’s not every day a car maker produces something that stands out but Nissan has done incredibly well. Coupled with the colour-coded body kit, the Nissan Qashqai Midnight Edition certainly is a head-turner wherever it goes.
