Nissan Sentra Review
The Nissan Sentra was a popular car in South Africa from 1982 to 2016. Originally it was a no-frills sedan with a really big boot, but later generations grew bigger and added more luxury and safety features. The final generation, discontinued in 2016, was a five-seater sedan with a 1.6-litre petrol engine that produced 85 kW and 154 Nm. It was available with a 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox.
An earlier model was the Nissan Sentra 200STI which came with either a 1.5 or 2.5-litre engine – the latter was the most powerful motor in any standard Nissan Sentra. In terms of official Nissan Sentra towing capacity figures, the vehicle was not built to tow.
