Could this be the next Nissan X-Trail?

Though most patent filings give us a glimpse of specific vehicle models to come, there’s no concrete information to tell us what we’re looking at here. It’s obviously a future Nissan utility vehicle and seems to be based on the 2012 Hi-Cross Concept. This leads us to believe that it could possibly be a sneak peek at the next generation Nissan X-Trail.
Platinum Edition X-Trail hits UK market

Nissan’s rugged all-rounder X-Trail might not be cheap but certainly is more affordable than most crossovers in the overseas market. Now Nissan is bridging the gap by releasing a limited edition premium version of the X-Trail in the UK.
What sets the Platinum Edition Nissan X-Trail apart? On the outside it offers extra protection plates on the front and rear bumpers, as well as chrome side steps and door mouldings. On the inside it boasts leather trim, motorised and heated front seats, touch screen infotainment and a back-up camera with rearview mirror display.
All these luxury features and finishes will be applied to a 2-litre diesel model with either automatic or manual transmission. Only 200 examples will be released and it’s set to retail at around £30,000.
