Nissan Showed Off The Max-Out EV At The 2023 Auto Shanghai
Nissan recently unveiled the Max-Out EV – an ultra-stylish electric convertible concept vehicle at the 2023 Auto Shanghai. This visually appealing, futuristic concept vehicle is designed with every modern safety, performance, and comfort feature in mind.
Safety is a top priority for Nissan and it has pulled out all the stops with the Max-Out EV in this regard. Equipped with advanced safety features such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring, this electric vehicle gives both the driver and passengers peace of mind on the road.
Enhanced Electric Performance
The Max-Out EV’s impressive engine specifications include two electric motors that deliver a total output of 320 kW and 654 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, making it one of the fastest electric convertibles now on the market. The vehicle’s range is estimated to be around 300 miles on a single charge, making it an ideal ride for longer drives.
Futuristic Body Style
A sleek and stylish exterior incorporates Nissan’s signature V-motion grille, reflecting the high-tech performance of this futuristically designed vehicle. Adding character, comfort and fun to style, the soft-top roof can be opened and closed in just 15 seconds, offering a fresh, open-air driving experience to make the most of sunny weather.
Classy Interior
The impressive interior adopts a classy, minimalist design with high-quality materials such as leather and aluminium. A digital instrument cluster and a large touchscreen infotainment system provide features such as a Bluetooth connection for music, navigation and climate control.
The Nissan Max-Out EV is a stunning electric convertible concept car that delivers on all important points of safety, performance, style, and comfort.
While it may just be a concept car for now Nissan has indicated that it will be introducing new EV models in the near future, and motorists can only hope that most of this vehicle’s impressive features on show will find their way into the design of any upcoming models.
Models In The Future
In fact, Nissan plans to invest $17.6 billion to develop new EVs and battery technology and has previously shared renderings of four EV concepts. These were the Chill-Out which was like a new version of the Leaf, Surf-Out which was a bakkie that was rather wild in appearance, the SUV Hang-Out, and the Max-Out, a two-seater convertible, that were unveiled in November 2021.
Now, Nissan has indicated that it plans to develop 23 EVS by 2030 and says 20 models will have been completed in just a few years, by 2026. It plans to provide 75% of these EVs to Europe, 55% to Japan and the US and 40% to China.
Motorists in South Africa will hopefully also be considered a viable market for these new EVs, especially as the fuel price continues to rally, making the switch to electric cars a more appealing move by the day.
