These days graffiti is seen as an urban art form, primarily because there are many talented graffiti artists out there. Now artist Moose who specialises in “grime writing” has been commissioned to create an awe-inspiring artwork, in Waterloo, of London’s beautiful skyline. The jet washer used to clean the wall (or ‘paint’) was powered by a Nissan Leaf to place emphasis on London’s ongoing battle with its poor air quality and encourage people to switch to EVs.

“This piece of art is a striking call to action that air quality is one of the biggest issues facing the citizens and visitors of Europe’s largest cities today,” says J. Diernaz, Director of Nissan Electric Vehicles, Europe.
The design is created by cleaning the wall instead of adding paint with the leftover dirt forming the silhouette. One of the reasons for using this method is that most of the dirt is created by dust from vehicle exhausts. The emission levels in certain parts of London far exceed pollution guidelines.
