Nissan LEAF sales soar around the world

The amazing Nissan Leaf

Almost 50 000 Nissan LEAF vehicles have already been sold!

Nissan LEAF sales might just make it to 50 000 units by the end of this year. Currently 42 700 LEAF models have been sold around the world with 19 000 having left showrooms in Japan. Even the U.S. saw a 76% jump in sales from the previous year last month, selling 1579 units during October.

The Japanese automaker is making every effort to broaden sales of its full-electric, zero-emissions vehicle around the world and it seems to be paying off. Last month Nissan revealed its first global ad campaign begging the question, “What if you could drive the future today?” During the 60 second ad it does not just punt the LEAF’s no pollution and no fuel angles, but also promotes features such as turning on the car’s A/C and heat remotely with a smartphone as well as using the LEAF as an emergency back-up power supply for homes.
