2019 Datsun GO
Since it was first launched in South Africa in 2014 the Datsun GO range of vehicles has gone from strength to strength. It was not only voted as the most affordable car in South Africa two years running but has also proven to offer a lot of bang for your buck across the entire model range. This value for money is still very evident in the New Datsun GO Range which was launched late in 2018. This latest version of the GO is still very affordable and exceptionally fun to drive but also has a number of other standout features. These include:
Outstanding fuel efficiency: The claimed figure of 5.2 litres per 100Km’s has to be experienced to be believed. Even with the air-conditioning on, this car is still without a doubt one of the most fuel efficient in its class.
Now with an even funkier body design: Yes we’re calling it, this is not only the best Datsun GO to date, but the most stylish by far! Although the standard trim still looks very similar to the previous GO, the new sticker decal and 14″ alloy wheel option (along with the LED daytime running lights and chrome finished radiator grill) turns the New Datsun GO into an Upbeat Urban Vehicle that your friends will want to be in and others will want to own. It is in our opinion one of the best-looking entry-level cars to hit the streets of South Africa in years.
The ‘love seat’ is gone:This is a biggy for us, as the love seat looked good in the previous version of the GO, but it served no real purpose. The new cup holder and actual space between the front seats makes the New Datsun GO feel like a much bigger (and better) car than its predecessor.
The infotainment system ROCKS: There is now a 7″ touchscreen infotainment system that will literally change the way you interact with your car and play your music. FM Radio, Bluetooth and Carplay (and more) are all here to entertain you!
Easy and fun to drive: The cabin has been ergonomically designed to maximise comfort and convenience and it shows. From adjusting mirrors to changing radio stations everything is within easy reach and easy to use. This allows you to concentrate on driving and the New Datsun GO, which is refreshingly sprightly and fun for a car of this class.
