Datsun – Because Best Buy

It’s official, the Datsun GO has been named the Most Affordable Car in South Africa in a report that was recently released by Kinsey. This Kinsey Report is regarded as a consumer bible for the local motoring industry and is without a doubt the most comprehensive survey done in South Africa on everyday motoring.

Not the First Time for Datsun

Although being named the Most Affordable Car in South Africa is a great honour, this is not the first time that the Datsun Go has been awarded this accolade. It is in fact the third time over the past 3 years that the GO has been named this due to its all-round affordability, parts and replacement reliability and service efficiency.

What Does the Report Focus On?

For 2017 the Kinsey Report surveyed parts pricing of 69 vehicles in South Africa. This survey was done across nine vehicle segments and only took into account prices that were offered during the month of July 2017. The reason for the focus on the price of car parts is that it is the cost of these parts that directly affects your insurance premiums, as well as the repair costs of your vehicle. It is therefore a very accurate representation of the true cost of vehicle ownership, and this report is the only truly independent parts pricing benchmark in the local South African automotive industry.

So What Was Said About the Datsun GO?

The Datsun GO was surveyed under the City Cars Category, and has proven itself to be the best entry level car in South Africa thanks to its best overall Kinsey Report Ratings for car service costs, repair costs and crash parts (panel beating) costs.
