NISMO – The Pinnacle of Performance

The world has been clamouring for more NISMO (Nissan Motorsport International Limited), and now it looks like that is what we’ll all be getting! In fact, this will all be happening a lot sooner than previously thought, as Nissan’s in-house tuning, motorsports and performance division has set up a new unit within the NISMO structure that has been tasked with creating a much larger range of new Nissan vehicle models for customers in Japan, North America, Europe and the Middle East.

What does this mean for Nissan globally (and specifically in SA)?

The new NISMO Cars Business Department that has been set up in partnership with Autech Japan, Inc will result in some serious technical innovation, which will in turn benefit future none NISMO Nissan models that ARE (or will be) available in South Africa. In the meantime, however industry leading personal from Nissan, Autech, and Nissan Motorsports International Company will be tasked with adding to the already exciting list of NISMO vehicles that include the GT-R, 370Z, Juke and Sentra. Once this is done Nissan has plans to introduce the NISMO brand into a number of new markets (lets hold thumbs that SA is one of them) and boost the sales of this iconic sportscar sub-brand that already sells about 15,000 units a year.

Let’s take a look at the NISMO cars mentioned above:

The NISMO GT-R – Or as we like to call it, GODZILLA!

The NISMO 370Z – The beauty that’s also a BEAST!

The NISMO Juke – Where personality and POWER meet!

The NISMO Sentra – Speed and handling become MAINSTREAM!

Every one of the Nissan Motorsport International Limited vehicles featured in the videos above include unique performance and styling upgrades that were developed through NISMO’s motorsports activities. All of these cars offers a sporty driving experience that when combined with Nissan’s legendary quality, reliability and durability helps to create a sports car brand that is second to none.
